Executive Coaching and Professional Development
Executive Coaching and Professional Development for Law Firms, Lawyers, and Other Professionals
I draw on over three decades of experience at leading international law firms, primarily as an equity partner, to coach, train, and teach law students, lawyers, and other professionals.
Having been admitted to the bar and practiced law in New York, England, and Singapore, I learned to adapt while staying true to who I am.
My goal is to share the knowledge and insights I have gained to help others navigate their careers with confidence, intentionality, and authenticity.
Executive Coaching
For busy professionals, coaching provides clarity in their careers and lives, empowering them to harness their strengths and achieve their objectives.
It is particularly helpful when exploring career options, overcoming obstacles, transitioning into a new role, or navigating change or conflict.
“Becoming a certified coach was a natural progression from my years of mentoring as a law firm partner and professor. I find immense fulfillment in seeing clients achieve their professional and personal aspirations.”
“The training programs I offer combine my expertise as a law firm partner, law professor, and certified coach.”
Professional Development
I understand the challenges of every stage of a legal career. I know what it is like to be a new associate grappling with how law firms work, a senior associate working towards partnership, a junior partner building a book of business, and a senior partner leading a practice group. Leveraging these experiences, I have designed training programs for law firms to support associates and partners at all levels.
My work as a law professor at Columbia Law School and New York University School of Law enhances my understanding of how to build key competencies for junior associates and to craft frameworks for law firm partners to lead and cultivate their teams effectively.
By integrating coaching techniques, I ensure these trainings are engaging, practical, and impactful.
Law School Teaching
My first class at Columbia Law School, New York
Law firms often note the difficulty in deploying junior associates efficiently. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence, it is more important than ever for law graduates to acquire practical skills that prepare them to contribute fruitfully from day one.
My courses at Columbia Law School and New York University School of Law bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with the resources they need to provide meaningful value in highly leveraged teams, while navigating challenging client demands, tight timelines, opposing counsel, and fee pressures.
“Teaching is in my bones. I come from a family of educators, and watching students gain confidence, deepen knowledge, and grow is deeply rewarding.”
