Executive Coaching for Lawyers and Other Professionals

What is Executive Coaching?

Executive coaching hones in on a topic that a client wishes to explore in order to unlock answers, strategies, and possibilities.

It can be a powerful tool when:

  • evaluating career goals

  • addressing constructive feedback

  • seeking to improve productivity

  • managing conflict

  • facing a roadblock

  • transitioning into a new role

  • building communication skills

  • feeling stuck or overwhelmed

  • expanding outside a comfort zone

Coaching provides the time and space to find the answers you already know on some level that can be obscured by the demands and noise of every day life. It is a partnership based on mutual respect and trust.

“Courage is a heart word.”

How Does Executive Coaching Work?

The client identifies a topic they wish to tackle and works with the coach to:

  • establish clear objectives

  • create strategies for desired outcomes

  • navigate change

The focus is on taking action, staying accountable, and following through effectively.

Coaching works as a partnership based on mutual respect and trust. The coach listens actively, asks questions to evoke awareness and facilitate client growth.

Coaching for Lawyers and Law Firms

The most valuable asset law firms have is their people. Coaching is an investment in lawyers that supports their professional development and creates a supportive firm culture.

I understand how law firms work, I know the real-life dynamics involved, I appreciate the politics, and I want to contribute to making law firms a kinder and better environment.

External coaches can be a helpful supplement to a law firm’s internal coaching expertise. They can serve as a resource for lawyers who may be more comfortable speaking with someone outside the firm with extensive experience in the field.

Coaching for Non-Lawyer Professionals

I have coached clients in a wide range of professions, in addition to law firms. These include finance, nonprofit organizations, the arts, small businesses, and public service.

Coaching does not require expertise in a particular field. The client always has the best answers for themself. Coaches merely evoke awareness by listening with curiosity and asking thoughtful questions to facilitate growth.

Coaching Packages

The magic of coaching is that it is all about the client’s targets, strengths, and capabilities. I will happily tailor coaching engagements to match the needs of an individual or law firm as best I can.
